Kill the "ANTs"
ANTs is short for: Automatic Negative Thoughts. These negative thoughts create our reality and become the foundation of our emotions. Our thoughts can either serve us and aid us to be functional or it can distort reality and create dysfunctional emotional responses. Examples of these are:
All or Nothing thinking - "Something is either good or bad" - this thinking imposed your expectations. This is seldom ideal.
Victim Thinking " you make me feel this way"- You are giving your power away and ignore your ability to make decisions.
Mindreading " I know what you think" - This is dangerous at best and the alternative is easy: Ask if you need to know; even if it is so "obvious."
Musting " You must do the following" - Not ideal to impose what we think on those around us. It is even more dysfunctional when we are unrealistic.
ANT's include a list of mental habits (thinking) that creates stress and conflict. We help you to get rid of it.
These are: Your BMI, your water intake, the hours sleep per night, the total minutes per day dedicated to cardio conditioning, ...to mention some.
